After having been retired for 2-1/2 years, I'm finding simplicity elusive. Guess I'll keep trying. Often we have to work hard to get there. As my husband and I start to look retirement in the face (hopefully in the next year or so), we are working hard to make life simple once we get there. Great post and yes, all your work will be so worth it~ Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01273101486326139103noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7068408751309289035.post-15361560079745521982014-07-02T07:55:52.680-07:002014-07-02T07:55:52.680-07:00Oh, I agree that simplifying takes a lot of hard w...Oh, I agree that simplifying takes a lot of hard work and I'm so happy for you that you are working toward simplifying by having only one studio. That should make things a lot easier. Your words "clean up the clutter" really spoke to me. Having lived in the same house for over 28 years, we have way too much "stuff" stored here and there and my simplifying goal is to begin, one room at a time, to clean out closets and drawers and get rid of everything that we don't use or want anymore. I know it will be a lot of work (and that's what keeps me from starting that particular project) but I know it needs to be done. I also know now happy I will be when it is completed. Sometimes I fantasize about living in a remote cabin (on the beach?) and only having essential things around me. Living the "simple life". That's not practical, but I sure can clean out a closet or two! terriporterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14333055591899961253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7068408751309289035.post-47506283665177211062014-07-02T05:54:36.267-07:002014-07-02T05:54:36.267-07:00This post is great because it takes it to the next...This post is great because it takes it to the next level. Let's face it - you have to have some income to have the freedom to simplify our lives - it's a privilege. I'm seeing friends and family my age slowly being able to take a little more time for themselves and its well deserved. Good advice that planning and working are necessary to get you there Hope your studio works out great - you have a great product to put in it!Carolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05433584313253805817noreply@blogger.com
