Savor It

As we think of those who have lost so much due to Hurricane Sandy, it is vitally important for all of us who have been spared to slow down and enjoy every taste, every smell, every experience.

Linger over your tea for at least two hours and 47 minutes.....

Give yourself thirty-nine bites to make your way through a chocolate bar....

Read and re-read the books you love and then read them again....

Give yourself two more moments of quiet reflection....

Why rush indoors when you can still enjoy the last of the Autumn leaves....

Why keep driving when the sun is setting out one window....

and the moon is rising out the other....

Why plow through life when you can take in as much as you can?  You can't always save a moment in time, but you can savor it.

"The time that gets wasted is the time you don't spend in each moment, experiencing and appreciating it for what it is."  ~  Barbara de Angelis

Beautiful photos, beautiful thoughts, certainly words we ought to ponder and embrace. Even in the week I've been home from Oasis, I find myself into the "rush" again. Why do we feel so compelled to rush?

I admit, I'm a "rusher." Thank you for the reminder to stop and enjoy the sweet things in life just a little more. Whatever I'm rushing to can wait.

Truly, I'm not a 'rusher'. I love to savour the moment! Beautiful photos as usual, Deanna!

Love your beautiful photos, as always, but I so agree with your words! So much sweetness and beauty in the world to rush by it all in such a hurry. Thanks for the reminder to slow down and savor it.

This is so nice Deanna. This fits perfectly with a quote that is one of my favorites- "don't just live the length of your life, live the width of it as well." Lovely. :)

Nо сhallenge - thеy also take dish waѕhing, oceаn frοnt houses, and desk dancing (in accordancе to the menu, which is extensive
of witty tidbits. Selfmade bread is not onlу quick to maκе, but you'll find it more suitable for you. You will probably be the good reason of road blocks in your father's results.
