A Wish

First of all....Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all you FOL'ers! Yep, those are my kiddos up there posing for their annual Christmas card photo.

Did the holidays fly by in a flash for you?  Even though I'm writing this post before Christmas, I know that come today I will feel as though I just went through a whirlwind of activity!  My wish for you (and me) in this time between Christmas and New Years is that you take some time to reflect on the past year and look forward to the new year.  As the cleanup from Christmas begins,  I hope to find my word for 2013. Instead of a resolution (which I inevitable end up breaking) I try to find a word or a group of words that will guide me through the new year.  Your words serve as a marker of where you've been and a guide for where you want to be.  Do you have your word for the new year?  What will you be focusing on in 2013? Share it with us in the comments section.

"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."  Ralph Waldo Emerson

I need to wait for the last of the hustle and bustle to be done and then choose my word - couple of possibilities in mind....

What a beautiful photo of your children! I think my words might be be "bravery", "explore" and daring. I found I get too comfortable doing the same old same old, so I want to step out of bounds and see what is really out there.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Leigh!

That's a good word Jeanne! I still haven't figured out mine yet. I may go with a group of words so I don't have to decide!

Love this picture of your kiddos - just beautiful! Today, I am thinking my word for 2013 will be "clean". Clean my craft room, clean my closet, clean my desktop- (happy Terri?!) clean my diet, clean my garden, clean my children, clean my mind.... You get the idea. Reading it back, it sounds a little overwhelming... perhaps my word will be relax.
