Experiencing Technical Difficulties

by Leigh

(this cute guy helps turn my frown upside down)

Ever have one of those days or even weeks where everything goes wrong at once? Just when you think it can't get any worse.....it does?  Yep, that's me right now.  For the last few months (ok maybe more like 6 months) my computer has been freaking out on me.  Well, the Apple Store calls it panicking not freaking, but either way it's bad.  And it always happens when I'm working on something important.  The screen goes black and the computer won't wake up.  I have to turn it off and then just pray it turns back on.  My computer is my life.  Not only are all my photos on there, but all of my landscape business documents and accounting program.  Luckily...I keep a good backup of everything, but right now I have to be without my computer while they try to diagnose (and hopefully fix) the problem.  So here it is day 4 without my computer and I'm suffering major withdrawals (not to mention zero productivity!)

October is a busy month for landscaping and photography so this is one of the worst possible times to be without my computer.  Actually there is never a good time to be without it.  So while my computer is enjoying a nice vacation at the Apple Store I left feeling as scattered as ever!  And then to top it all off, I remember that this is my week on FOL.

So please excuse the lack of interesting content, the absence of inspiration, and the overly pathetic sounding tone to this post.  It's just one of those weeks.  We've all been there right?  Instead of lingering on my present technical difficulties, I would like to focus on gratitude.  We had a wonderful weekend and I'm so thankful for the fun time with my family during my favorite time of the year!

Beautiful fall weather and wide open spaces to run in.

Fun adventures at The Oklahoma City Myriad Garden's Pumpkinville including these scenes from Maurice Sendak's "Where The Wild Things Are" which just happens to be one of my favorite all time childrens' books.

I mean seriously, how cute is this!

The decorations were so fun! These pumpkin are made from dryer vents that have been spray painted! After seeing these we made a trip to Home Depot to make some for ourselves.
Such a fun and easy Halloween craft.

My sweet nephew had a ball going through the hay maze.

Just one of the many spectacular fall displays

Thanks for letting my relive my weekend and forget about my technical difficulties for a bit.

Poor Baby! The only solace I have is that Apple is so good at customer service, and very fast - good luck to you!

So sorry about your computer problems. They're the worst! It really brings home how dependent on them we are! But you definitely rallied and put together such a fun post. Love seeing the shots of your family's fall weekend! Heading out to the pumpkin patch with my granddaughter on Friday and am hoping to be able to capture some fall shots. It's still in the 80s and feels a long way from fall here! Thanks for bringing me a little fall color.

I feel your pain girlfriend. Computer issues are extremely frustrating. Fingers crossed that you get yours back and in top working order very soon. What a great post! Such a magical place, and those pumpkins from dryer vents - brilliant! I may just have to run to Home Depot myself. I can see it now, hardware stores experiencing a sudden demand for dryer vents!

Looks like you have had a great time in spite of your computer problems. I have also been having alot of problems recently with my computer. It all started when I got a new dSLR, and in spite of spending quite alot of money, and time with the apple support desk, and a new hard drive and operating system, I am still having problems too. Hope that you have better luck than i have been having. I think that my problem is that i just have too many photos and a lack of memory. Not sure where I am going to go from here. Does not work not to have a computer though! Good luck to you on this! Cute shots that you posted today!

Being without a computer sucks. And yes there are those weeks where everything goes bad. That would be this week for us. Refrigerator and garbage disposal. I am hoping the refrigerator can be fixed.
