Still Life

by Carol

Still Life

Still Life. Nothing.

But look closer

There is a reaching.

There is a shedding of the old.

What is inside is exposed.

These things are happening to the tree.

But then , there is light

Look closer

GROWTH

Often in life, we feel stuck, still.
We complain about the things that are happening to us.

But breathe in the still.
Give the stillness time.
And you will see

Growth

So true Carol. We need still times to really grow - or at least to realize that we're growing. Such a lovely post to wake up to this morning. Great words. Great photos. Thank you!

A beautiful concept of "still life," so different from the usual meaning of that phrase in photography. This is a lovely post and something to think about this morning.

Beautiful post and homage to trees. Yes, we need to stop and pay attention to the wonder around us. You captured it beautifully.

I'm late, I'm late ... but here I am and so glad I didn't miss your beautiful post. It's a great reminder that we need to experience the stillness in order to experience the growth. I often find that periods of low creativity are followed by bursts of new energy and ideas. Wonderful post, Carol, to start off our week.

This is so wonderful Carol - (am I the only one to see an alligator face in the "exposed" image?)
