Focus on You

by Kim

California poppies
"California Poppies"

This magical photo is from Janice (*jdarby*). A beautiful composition, capturing the bee in flight with the focus on the single flower, and such a dreamy background! You can check out her flickr photostream here, it's a treat.

"Unedited Daisies"

And this photo is from Katie (runmomrun66). Something about this photo just kept drawing me back for more, fresh like a mountain stream, but even more impressive is that she took this with a Nikon FM10 film camera...imagine that. She mentioned that the sky was blown out, but when you see this photo larger, it almost feels like a mix of black and white and color and has a bit of a 3D feel to it. You can find more of her beautiful photos in her flickr photostream here.

Thank you not only to Janice and Katie, but to all of you who share your photos with us in our flickr group.
You can click the photos to see them larger or go straight to their flickr streams.

Hope everyone is enjoying your Memorial Day weekend!

Thank you so much for featuring my California poppy shot. I sat in one spot for awhile waiting for a bumble bee to fly by that poppy. I also love Katie's daisy shot, nothing like the look of film!
Thanks Kim, I appreciate the shout out.
