Some flowers, like people, stand out from the crowd. Destined to be the divas, prima dona's, and leaders in their society. Tulips are often the stars of our neighborhood gardens due to their resilience, poise, beauty and colors.
5 Fun Facts about Tulips -- Did you know?
- Tulip is the world's third most popular flower after rose and chrysanthemum.
- Tulips grow wild over a great territory from Asia Minor through Siberia to China.
- The majority of the tulips are grown and exported from Holland.
- Tulip flowers are a symbol of Spring
- There are about 3,000 known varieties of cultivated tulips.
A light exists in Spring
A light exists in spring
Not present on the year
At any other period.
When March is scarcely here
A color stands abroad
On solitary hills
That science cannot overtake,
But human naturefeels.

This week, we at FOL are celebrating SPRING -- with a Link party.
Insert your URL to your SPRING flower and other's will be able to follow you. It's really fun to check out all the participants, and much more fun if we all comment on the ones you enjoy!
Thanks, as always for visiting us!

Hi Claudia,
What a gorgeous post. We are on again, off again Spring in New England. Yet, the weather still has been unseasonably warm. Our Daffodils and Dogwood are in full bloom. Usually that doesn't happen until mid to end of April. Happy first Linking party.

Just love this post! For some reason, our tulips seem more magnificent than ever this year and I'm truly in Tulip Heaven so this post made my heart sing! Love the photos and so happy to learn new facts about tulips. Applauding our first every Linky Party!

I love this post, too and came to visit from Karen's!
Claudia, I have been waiting for this linky party! What fun! Thanks for putting this together for us! And what lovely shots everyone is sharing! And the icing on the cake is your beautiful pictures and fun facts about tulips! (sigh!)
xo,
Linda
Thanks for putting this together. I posted my link but messed up when selecting the image that was supposed to appear in your blog. I have no idea how to undo it... Maybe I'll just have to say that my daughter is the flower under the umbrella? If you know how to change the picture, please let me know. Thanks!
This is so much fun, Claudia! So glad you had the idea to have a spring linky party! So far, there are so many wonderful images and I love being linked to everyone's blogs or Flickr accounts to see the rest of their work. Fun, fun, fun!
What a fun party!! I haven't linked my photo yet, but will do that soon! And I love your tulip shots....tulips are my favorite flower!
I linkied! Yay! Sent in three aspects of spring - nature's babies, rain, and baseball. They say spring to me.
I love your beautiful shots. I love Emily Dickensen, and remember the words of my favorite jump rope song...... The best kind of tulips are two-lips in the dark!
Peace and hugs.....
Love your name!
Don't worry - she's the prettiest flower of them all! May she continue to bloom!
Love your tulips, Claudia! Unfortunately, the temperatures have dipped again here in NY and not very much is blooming.
I'm new to your site and can't tell you how excited I am to find you! What a beautiful site!
