Whether it's natural light from the sun...
...man made from a flash...
...flashlight in the dark night...
...computer screen light...
...and the oh-so-fun write-in-the-night...bic lighter light! :)
Bottom line is...we as photographers adore light! We rely on it to capture images and chase it throughout the day...for that perfect moment to shoot. Here's to all of you having some fun out there and finding that oh-so-spectacular light!
{Due to my current work schedule, family obligations, teenagers and baseball games... and a husband campaigning...I've bitten off a little more than I could chew and will be guest blogging here instead of every two weeks. It was a difficult decision to cut back on this, because it's a passion of mine, but for now it's the best decision. Thank's so much to these wonderful ladies for asking me to be a part of this fine group. I look forward to guest blogging with you in the future.} ~xo's

Light is something that is very much on my mind these days with the wonderful, soft light that spring has brought to us this year. I've been chasing the light for two weeks and having a ball doing it!
Susan, I shall miss you! But I look forward to your guest slots; I expect to see lots of comments from you. I wish you and your family all the best. Watching for good things from Sweet Gumball!

I'll miss your personality shining through your beautiful photographs! Your light shines from within!
What's he campaigning to be? Wish him luck for me. And good luck to you with everything on your plate. J
Wishing you the best, Susan! But, I will miss your posts!! To me one of the most intriguing things about photography is light! It's fascinating how different lights can effect an image! I'm still working on it, but I'm loving it! Your images are beautiful examples of light!
“Light makes photography. Embrace light. Admire it. Love it. But above all, know light. Know it for all you are worth, and you will know the key to photography.” George Eastman (Eastman Kodak). Love your wonderful images of light in this post! As photographers, we are all "seekers of light".
Shedding a tear here that this is your last post for awhile. I always look forward to your beautiful images and your inspiration. But knowing you'll be back to guest post now and then helps!
Oh, and thanks for posting that shadow photo from camp! It always brings back such great memories! And in six short (I hope!) months, we'll be making some more memories. Can't wait!
Your pictures are good as always! I like pictures from a sunny day most of all! You just cannot reproduce the beautiful light from the sun!
Good luck with all your adventures! I hope to see you around here often!
xo,
Linda
You are so right about light. Once someone asked me when the best time to shoot was and of course I shared with them the concept that early morning and late evening the light is warmer and kinder to our features... "what about mid day what do you do then?" LOL well, per a great photographer friend of mine... Mid day is PERFECT for napping!
Yah. like we have time to do that right?
Its been a pleasure getting to know you and hope that your life slows so you can enjoy every moment.
Hugs GF
