When I think of all the colors in the rainbow plus all the other derivatives of those colors I have to say that RED always calls to me. When I peruse at all the photos I take (and I do take literally 1,000's, thank goodness for digital) RED seems to be the pre-dominate color.
And what would we do without red at Christmastime...
And red is especially nice in February for Valentine's....
I like this one so much I am having a canvas print made to hang on the wall in my kitchen...
And red cherries in the summer...oh yes!!
Red apples in the fall....
And ofcourse I cannot leave out red barns....sigh, these are always pure bliss to me when I come across a red barn....especially ones with hearts...
and angels...
The hummingbird moth is attracted to the red flowers in my garden..
And ofcourse there is the quintessential red geranium in the summertime...
My love of red carries over to the decor on the porch....
And even our local band that performs every Thursday evening in the Park loves red....note the color of their shirts.
Admit it...red is a color that most of us are attracted to in all seasons of the year. What color do you find that you are attracted to the most?

Just Absolutely gorgeous shots Deanna! Wonderful way to start the day!
Beautiful, Deanna. It is a signature colour for you because when I see something that is red I more then a few times think, "Deanna would LOVE this." I'm blue and green. Happy weekend FOL people.
I do love red, and I so love the reds that are ever present in your photography. I guess my colors are green and blue, but really, if it's colorful and pretty, it'll catch my eye!
Such cheerful bright photos (we're having heavy rains and lots of grey today. Not that I'm complaining!!). I think I'm attracted to anything bright, lots of reds, oranges, vibrant blues skies. Also, I really like pops of color in a winter landscape: red cardinals against snowy backgrounds, that sort of thing. Happy weekend!
Your post makes me feel as if I'm on a visit to your house. I wish you would do a post on how you label your photos so you can find them.
This is filled with beauty, Deanna! Like Pam, I see red things and think you would love them. Red is also a color I love but I think I'm even more drawn to pinks, from pale to vibrant. And like Katie, I just love color of any hue! Thanks for such a cheerful and lovely post this morning!
... smiling broadly ... I LOVE reds, too! Your gorgeous photos have notched up my excitement about seeing your reds in person soon. I have a lot of red in my home, landscape and closet.
You have me convinced! Love that shot of the hummingbird moth... I think those are so cool! Have them at our cabin
I love your reds, especially in photo form. I gravitate towards blue hues, but my moods can certainly swing me in other directions.
p.s. I love Naperville :)
Red is a great color, and pink, my favorite comes from red. It promotes conversation, and stimulates appetite and probably why we see it in so many restaurants. Your photos of "red" are beautiful and a great way to energize our day. So jealous you have the clear wing hummer moth in your garden...I had some a couple of years ago, different kind, and haven't seen any since.
Muy bello color y las fotografĂas son espectaculares!!. A mĂ me gustan todos los colores, no puedo decidirme!
Abrazos.
Beautiful images with all the red popping out! Red attracts my attention, but I seem to shoot more earthy colors or blues.
Blue for me all the shades from duck egg through to navy.....
Love your red photos Deanna! My favorite is the red cherries and aqua/turquoise tablecloth/container! Great combo of colors. I want to try more still life type photos and you have inspired me this week!
Ps--as Christine said above I would love to hear how all of you organize your photos (what program you use) on your computer and how you back them up. If you've all ready posted about this previously let me know where--thanks!
Deanna - you photograph it beautifully.
