Some times when the road gets a little bumpy, it helps to look at things in a different way. It's not easy and it might take a little time to reflect on the situation to see the good in it but it sure does help keep things in perspective and lighten your mood!
Because it is Thursday I thought I'd share a few things I am thankful for.
I am thankful for-
-the sound of an alarm clock because I am alive to greet a new day
-buying gasoline because it fuels the vehicle that takes me on vacation
-listening to people complain about the government because we have freedom of speech
-piles of laundry because I have clothes
-dirty windows because I have a house
-the last parking space at the far end of the parking lot because I can walk
-clothes that are too tight because I have enough to eat
-heating bills because I am warm
-messy tables because I have a family
-tired and aching muscles because I have been productive
What are you thankful for today?

Now that's real gratitude! Finding the things that drive us crazy and being thankful for them - a great spin, and a terrific way to look at things. I will go through my day looking at things differently.
linda you are really making gratitude work for you here. thank you for the inspiration to find the beauty in the cold, gray day. :)
Thankful ness is something that we should all "practice", and makes such a difference in our outlook on life. Love your shot to go with this too, as this looks like such a cozy spot to reflect in.
I love how you have found the good in everything and found something to be thankful for in things that most people would just complain about! Being thankful really changes your whole outlook. I hope everyone who reads this today will take some time to think about all the things they are thankful for. I know I will! Thanks for that, Linda!
Oh, yes! Being thankful, practicing gratitude ... it makes such a difference to how we experience life. And I love the little glass in your photo ... your half-full glass. :-D Loved everything about this post today, Linda.
Now this is someone with an "attitude of gratitude"! I love it! I strive to do the same, but sometimes fall short... I forget...! Reminders like this are very much needed! Thank you! Great post!
Life is full of great blessings…sometimes we just have to take a step back to see them! Im grateful for my disabled grandson hanging in there, my husbands cancer is in remission and most of all the good Lord seeing me through it all. And like Dottie, I love glass half full! Great photo and post, thanks for sharing :)
My glass is nearly always half full, but today I'm having a hard time just finding a darn glass....So, I will try to be grateful for the medical bills because it means my son is getting good treatment. And, for the sun being out today and for it being almost the start of Spring break because that means my girl is coming home.
I have so much to be grateful for. Including, all those things on your list.
Sometimes, we just have to be reminded.
Thanks...
Great things to be thankful for, puts it all in perspective.
Me encantó la foto y la entrada, es bueno reparar en las muchas cosas que tenemos para agradecer a diario.
Un fuerte abrazo.
It is good to pause and reflect on all the goodness in our lives. Thanks for the reminder!! And I love the half-full glass, so representative of your post!!
your image is perfect with the message in your post. the fact that it is so still, so peaceful and reflective…i can imagine you sitting there, in the chair…being thankful. xo's….
Wonderful reminder to all of us! I try to write down at least three things I'm grateful each day. There's always, always something to be thankful for!
