Focus on You

There is probably no insect that I wouldn't find fascinating, I mean what's not see with awe and wonder through the lens, even if they do have many sets of legs.

Today's Focus on You image was taken by Amy Burzese. She captured a Snowberry Clearwing Hummingbird Moth in flight sipping nectar from lantana. These are a little tricky to capture as they are incredibly fast flyers with 25-30 wing beats per second. Just knowing that, you can appreciate a little more the fact that she caught the freeze frame action of this amazing beauty.

Thank you Amy, for sharing one of Mother Nature's incredible flying insects with us all here at Focusing On Life. You can find Amy on Flickr and on her blog Rose Street Reflections.

Keep sharing with us in our Focusing on Life Flickr group . . . wow us with your images and don't forget next Tuesday is THE Earth Day!! xo

Wow that is amazing focus as those moths are extremely hard to photograph. Loved this shot.
