High summer is upon us. In my neck of the woods that means hot, hazy days and thick, humid evenings. And all around my neighborhood bright, bold flowers are standing up tall in the gardens.
I love the colors of summer...truly this is what I miss most in the middle of winter.
Color just makes me so happy. And there's even science to back this up!
Studies show that warm colors like reds, yellows, and oranges promote feelings of happiness, optimism, energy, and vitality.
Thanks for letting me share it with you.
Love, Kelly

You are so right! Honor them!
Since this is the time of the year that we have very little color, thank you for sharing yours! Beautiful colors, beautifully shot. I especially love that pink flowering tree!
Love these pops of color, especially the tree! Any flowering tree in my neck of the woods is only in bloom for a couple of weeks. Great photos Kelly.
I love your bold colors and beautiful flowers of summer, Kelly! I agree with you, I too miss the color and joy of flowers in the winter time.
I've done two blog posts featuring wild prairie flowers and shared pictures of my yard flowers too.
