It is an honor to be joining this wonderful group of women at Focusing On Life. If I remember correctly I think I met them all in online photography courses, either that or in a Flickr group. I do remember the excitement I felt when I read their very first FOL post four years ago and I still look forward every morning to what they will share. I know being part of this group will be a blessing to me. Thanks to each of these women for inviting me to join them.
My photography centers around finding beauty in ordinary things, especially things in nature. Close up views of nature are my passion; leaves, mushrooms, lichen, acorns, trees, or seedpods. Each day, if it is at all possible I take my camera outside and find beauty in my world. I look for simple things that bring me delight. There is nothing like that quiet moment of awe that washes over me or that gasp as I see something I have never seen before. It leaves me breathless and filled with joy. I am in constant awe of what our world looks like up close.
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I live with my husband of forty-three years in central Arkansas. We have a daughter and a son who are both married and have blessed us with five absolutely amazing grandsons ranging in age from two to thirteen. I love photography, music, reading, wandering, and exploring. I live and enjoy a pretty simple life.
I am excited to be here and I am looking forward to sharing a little bit of my life and photography with you. I would love to get to know each of you better, so if you have a moment, please share in the comment section where you live and what is your favorite type of photography.
