Our monthly focus for September is “mornings” and of all the wonderful morning images in our group’s Flickr Stream, I would like to feature two that captured my attention this week:
This first image from Jackie
Fields is a wonderful black & white. The tonal range is fabulous, well
composed, and the light and shadow play really holds the viewer’s attention.
This is where our mornings begin isn’t it? Getting out of bed to become part
of a brand new day. I like to think the person who slept here woke up well
rested with a smile on the face. Jackie Fields is brand new to
Flickr with 2 images currently in her Flickr stream, this being one of them. Her other
image is also awesome and I look forward to seeing more of her work. Check out

This second image is from
Cathy Sly. The soft light of morning so perfectly illuminates the fern and
highlights the cobwebs, and that bokeh! I’m in love. Actually I’m a big fan
of Cathy’s work. She is clearly a light chaser with a keen eye who takes her
time to thoughtfully capture her vision. All of her images have a sense of
serenity to them. She has been a Flickr member since June of 2011 with over

I have been loving all of the beautiful morning shots that have been posted and these two are favorites. One of the best things about morning is the light and these two capture it perfectly! Thanks Jackie and Cathy for sharing them.
