At
first I was going to just title this post, 'No Title' and then realized after
writing the post... I did indeed have a title. After sitting at this computer
for the past several hours going through tens of hundreds of photos, all from
our FOL Galveston trip, I was at a loss as what to 'focus on' for my post. My brain seriously felt... fuzzy...
like I'm still trying to process everything from last weeks gathering... too
quickly. Does that make
sense? Have you ever had that
moment when you have soooo much to talk about that you just don't know where to
begin? That's where I am...
We've
all heard the saying 'a photograph is worth a thousand words' right? I was finding it difficult to find the
words to express my gratitude (and it is beyond great) for this past
gathering... so I'm going to let my photographs help me out here and speak for
themselves.
Carol and Kelly - ready to go! And yes, we did travel like this... well... once. :) |
Kelly and Leigh... one, two three JUMP! Not bad at 7:00am in the morning! |

besides our great times, you got some wonderful, beautiful photos! I love letting the pics speak for you. They say a mouthful!!
These photos are indeed worth a thousand words. There are no words to describe the beauty we saw or the beauty and love that permeated our time together. It was indeed magic ... but yet it was very real. Each person there felt the freedom to be herself and so these ten divergent personalities blended into one open, loving group. Thank you, Susan, for sharing our get together through your lens and heart.
These photos definitely speak volumes and it is so much fun to see our time together through everyone's different lenses. Love how each photo brings back the times we shared. I didn't see you take the jump shot so that was a fun surprise! I agree with Dotti, the freedom to be ourselves is priceless. I'm still basking in the glow of it all but I certainly understand your "fuzzy" feelings. We've called it "reentry" in the past, getting back to the day to day of our lives, and sometimes it takes awhile. But we have so many sweet memories to hold in our hearts and the knowledge that we will all be together again before too long.
Thank you Susan for sharing these beautiful pictures. It is hard to put words to what we shared. Truly magic. I'm so glad I got to meet you there.
Hmm, I'm not quite sure whether the "system" saved my comment… I'm having computer issues today… So, I'll try again… ;-) This is so wonderful and it was such a pleasure to follow your trip on Instagram!
I am still amazed at the great weather we had, considering the weeks prior it rained so much! Magic is about right...
