Focus on You

Since it is only the 5th of the month, there are not a lot of "leading lines" photos in the FOL Flickr gallery yet, but I would have stopped at this one regardless. This beautiful landscape was taken by Sandra (zinnia2012) who lives in Lausanne, Switzerland. Doesn't that curving wall disappearing around the corner make you wish you were there and could walk down that path and see what a awaited you? This photo is titled "Walking through the Vineyards" which gives a little hint into where it was shot. Sandra's Photostream is full of macro flowers and sweeping landscapes so be sure to take a minute to browse through her beautiful images. Thanks for sharing with us here at FOL, Sandra!

This photo says "Wish you were here!" sigh. And I do.

This is lovely! Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all walk along this path with Sandra!

I want to be there, yes...

Yes, that's exactly what leading lines are supposed to do - make the viewer want to walk into the photo - and that's exactly what Sandra's photo does!

Well dear FOL friends, I wish you could all come and join me on this lovely walk above the lake! There's a nice little auberge (country restaurant) where we can have an excellent lunch at a very reasonable price, but I'll need to book our table first! Bring a bottle of water for the outing as it can get quite hot on these sun-exposed paths! Then I suggest that we take the train to the next little town called Vevey (not far away from where Charlie Chaplin and his big family lived. Now the house is a museum). Then we'll take one of those old steam boats back to Lausanne!

Thank you very much for choosing my photo to put here on your blog! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
